MatchesKeshav Maharaj, one of South Africa’s most accomplished spinners, brings a wealth of experience and control across formats. A left-arm orthodox bowler known for his discipline and economy, Maharaj has been a mainstay in South Africa’s bowling attack, particularly valued for his ability to apply pressure through tight spells. His red-ball credentials are equally impressive, with over 200 Test wickets highlighting his consistency and endurance. In white-ball cricket too, he has claimed more than 100 wickets, while his experience across global T20 leagues has seen him feature in over 200 matches, picking up upwards of 190 wickets. Maharaj’s exposure to major tournaments further underlines his pedigree. He has represented South Africa in four T20 World Cups, one ODI World Cup and was also part of their victorious World Test Championship final in 2025. His TATA IPL opportunities have been limited, with just two appearances for Rajasthan Royals in previous seasons. However, he returns to the league with Mumbai Indians as a replacement player, adding control and experience to their spin resources. Known for keeping things tight and building pressure, Maharaj offers a dependable option in the middle overs.
